What is 50for50?

50for50 is the name of the year-long fundraising campaign to raise unrestricted funds for International Child Care in honor of Grace Children’s Hospital’s 50 year anniversary. We are challenging individuals and teams across the country create their own creative 50for50 campaign to raise funds on behalf of ICC.

Everyday Hero is the platform we will be using for our Peer-to-Peer / 50for50 online campaign. Each individual (or team) can have their own fundraising page, with message, pictures, and goals.

Once you're set-up, we'll be sending periodic emails to give you hints and tips to make the post out of it.

If you'd like help during the process, please call the office and Kirsten will help you through it, step by step.

Here’s how to get started:

1. Decide on what you’re 50for50 is. Are you making and selling 50 items? Running 50 miles?  Asking 50 friends to donate? Your 50for50 should be unique to you and something you’ll enjoy.

2. Go to: https://50for50.everydayhero.com/us/get-started

3. Fill out the information.

4. Customize your story by clicking on the edit button on your page (just below your profile picture).

Sample Email Text to ask others to create their own campaign

Dear [Insert Name Here],

As you know, I serve on the board of International Child Care because I am very passionate about the work they are doing providing health to those in need in Haiti and the Dominican Republic. This year, the ministry that started it all, Grace Children's Hospital, is celebrating 50 years of health!

To honor Grace's golden past, I'm participating in International Child Care's 50for50 campaign this year to ensure that the hospital has a bright future. The goal of the campaign is to get individuals and teams to each come up with their own DIY campaign of 50 ways to help. Some people are cycling 50 miles, some are selling 50 items, and some are simply asking 50 friends to give.

I am participating by [insert a very brief description of your 50for50 here]. Won't you join me by creating your own creative campaign?
