Those of us that have spent time in Haiti know that it can be a beautiful place with amazing people. However, years of turmoil and strife have caused tourist to stay away from the nation of beaches and mountains as far as the eye can see. No longer is this the case. The Haitian government and the private sector have tirelessly worked to showcase safe and beautiful travel options throughout the country. Last year, CNN rated Abaka Bay, in southwest Haiti, one of the top 100 most beautiful beaches in the world.
